Skillforce is currently hiring an experienced Journeyman Mason for restoration and commercial masonry projects in Dubuque, IA. This role focuses on historic restoration, repair, and rehabilitation of masonry structures, requiring strong craftsmanship and attention to detail.

This is a great opportunity to work on unique, high-visibility projects involving historic and commercial buildings.

• Perform brick, block, and stone masonry work
• Complete tuck pointing/repointing, mortar matching, and joint repair
• Repair damaged or deteriorated masonry structures
• Assist with masonry restoration, cleaning, and waterproofing
• Work on facades, chimneys, and architectural masonry elements
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
• Maintain a safe and clean job site
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines

• 4+ years of masonry experience (journeyman-level preferred)
• Strong background in commercial or restoration masonry
• Experience with tuck pointing and mortar matching
• Ability to work at heights and in outdoor conditions
• Proficient with masonry tools and equipment
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic

• Experience in historic restoration projects
• Knowledge of various mortar types and restoration techniques
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Competitive pay based on experience, up to $30/hr
