Process the daily shipping requirements accurately and timely. Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers and vendors.

Essential Functions
  • Complete tasks and conduct behaviors consistent in the promotion of a standard of excellence.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, and report any unsafe situations to management or human resources.
  • In-person, on-site, predictable attendance and punctuality in alignment with position’s scheduled hours.
  • Verify, make revisions, and maintain the Ship List. Add Ready-to-ship items to the ship list in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain Ready-to-ship files based on delivery window due dates.
  • Scan/Save completed job documentation (Travelers/Completed POs).
  • Create packing lists accurately representing shipped parts.
  • Interact with ERP system, documents, spreadsheets, and computer software as required.
  • Match packing lists to POs to verify pricing, end destination, and that appropriate certifications are sent over to the requesting customers.
  • Communicate with vendors on open POs to meet customer needs.
  • Create outside service POs for vendors as jobs are entered.
  • Maintain Customer and outside service PO files.
  • Schedule outbound shipments based on internal and customer-based routing instructions.
  • Receive any incoming material and parts associated with POs entered and update corresponding spreadsheets.
  • Process orders based on the customer’s preferred shipping system (e.g. USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, etc.).
  • Assist shipping department in tasks including but not limited to: load/unload trucks, process orders, pull goods, wash (if applicable), assemble, pack, and prepare shipments including proper labeling and shipping documents; utilize a variety of tools and equipment such as forklift, inspection gauges, scale, manual machines and wash tank.
  • Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
  • Participate in maintaining the company’s quality system and adhere to standard operating procedures as applicable.
  • Participate in employee training programs and communication meetings.
  • Ensure the work area and equipment is properly maintained to provide a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
  • Order general business supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.

Technical Capacity, Communication Proficiency, Self‑motivation, Organizational Skills, Decision Making, Accuracy, Customer Service Skills, Time‑Management, Initiative, Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements

Light work:
Lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma/GED or relevant experience.
  • Forklift experience or the ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Prior shipping experience is a plus.
