The After hours Fleet Manager is primarily responsible for dispatching, scheduling maintenance, and building trusting relationships with Tucker Freight Lines' drivers.
Shift hours
Monday
- Thursday, 11:00 pm - 9:00 am
OR
Friday
- Sunday, 9:00 am - 09:00 pm and Monday, 6:00 am to Noon
- Leads, directs, and dispatches a team of professional CDL Class A drivers
- Manages daily service requirements, including daily phone calls and client relationships
- Manages all transportation and logistics for shipments to customers
- Integrates our transportation services seamlessly into our customer's supply chain
- Ensures safety guidelines are adhered to properly
- Monitors transportation costs and target areas that yield improvements and cost savings
- Provides strategic planning to support customer's regional expansion
- Provides accurate and timely reports
- Works closely with vendors
- Maintains vehicle compliance with DOT and Tucker Freight Lines Safety Standard
- Schedules maintenance services with vendors
- Embraces our commitment to safety as a core value
- Maintains high profile accounts
- Services and builds relationships with customers/drivers
- Evaluates the profitability and efficiency of the fleet
- ELD training(for themselves and to teach drivers)
- Answers all inbound calls
- Contact drivers that are late or need to leave the house
- Tracking and managing loads and driver's locations
- Other duties as assigned
