Role Overview

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. This role is pivotal to our ongoing success and offers you the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough vehicle inspections, identifying faults and defects accurately.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs, including brakes, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Utilise diagnostic equipment effectively to troubleshoot and resolve vehicle issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records for each vehicle serviced.
  • Work collaboratively with the service team to meet daily targets and customer expectations.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues about vehicle issues, repairs, and estimated timescales.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments, new technologies, and manufacturer training.
Qualifications & Experience
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or Automotive Engineering.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with hands‑on experience using diagnostic tools.
  • Good understanding of current automotive systems, including hybrid and electric vehicles.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing workload efficiently.
  • Full UK driving licence.
