Job Summary:
The Tax Staff will prepare US corporation, partnership and individual tax returns.
Salary Range and Benefits:
Commensurate with experience, standard firm benefits
Major Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prepare federal and state corporation, partnership and individual tax returns.
- Prepare international informational tax returns.
- Assist with tax planning and tax consulting projects.
- Prepare tax research memo for clients with analysis and application of IRC sections and regulations.
- Represent client in front of the IRS, including assisting in IRS and state tax audits.
- Compile and analyze financial statements.
- Perform monthly write-up services.
- Write monthly articles regarding recent federal and state tax law changes.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements & Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following basic qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- 0-3 years of professional experience, preferably in public accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel).
- Basic understanding of federal & state income taxes.
Education and Licenses:
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting or related field.
- B or above in all accounting and accounting-related courses.
- Satisfactory cumulative major GPA.
- Advanced degree is preferred.
- CPA certification (active) preferred or working toward if not already obtained.
