We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Tax Preparer to join our team. Path Accounting is a Tax and Accounting Firm with offices in Logan and Lehi, Utah. This position will prepare complex tax returns for individuals and businesses. We are small and growing fast.

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns independently
• Manage client relationships and hold tax conversations directly with clients
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies
• Communicate proactively with partners on open items, deadlines, and client needs
• Meet deadlines consistently across a full client roster
• Maintain organized client files and tax inbox
• Busy season expectations – willingness to work extended hours February through April
• Eventually train and mentor junior staff as the office grows

• 3+ years of experience preparing individual and business tax returns
• Proficient in Lacerte or similar professional tax software
• Able to work independently and manage a full client roster without daily supervision
• Strong communication skills – with clients and with partners
• Detail oriented with a consistent track record of accurate, on time work
• CPA or EA not required but encouraged
• On-the-job training
