Signetik, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Intern with a strong foundation in accounting to join our dynamic team. This role is designed to bridge the gap between academic business concepts and real-world corporate financial operations. In this position, you will support general business processes while gaining immersive, hands‑on experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and data analysis. You will work closely with senior leadership to maintain the financial integrity that drives our strategic growth and operations.
Key Responsibilities and Skill Opportunities- Financial Record Keeping:
Assist in entering daily financial transactions, tracking journal entries, and maintaining general ledger accounts. - Reconciliations:
Perform regular bank reconciliations and verify balance sheet accounts to ensure absolute data accuracy. - Accounts Payable/Receivable:
Support the team in processing vendor invoices, verifying employee expense claims, and issuing customer invoices. - Payroll:
Assist and perform monthly payroll and liabilities. - Estimates, Purchase Orders and Sales Orders:
Support accounting by generating client and vendor orders. - Month-End Support:
Collaborate with Director of Finance during the month-end closing process by preparing variances, adjusting entries, and data summaries. - Reporting & Analysis:
Compile cross‑functional financial data to help draft internal management reports and budgeting spreadsheets. - Audit Preparation:
Organize and retrieve document files to support internal controls and external audit tasks. - Business Operations:
Complete ad‑hoc business administration and administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Education:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (with significant accounting coursework completed). - Technical
Skills:
Must be mid to highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. - Software Knowledge:
Experience with Quick Books Desktop is a strong plus. - Academic Standing:
Junior or Senior class standing preferred; a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 is highly desirable. - Core Competencies:
Exceptional attention to numbers, strong organizational skills, and a clear understanding of GAAP guidelines. - Soft Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven capacity to handle confidential data with complete integrity.
