Junior Associate We are a Business Management firm that manages finances for musicians, songwriters, producers, and other high-profile clients in the entertainment space. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Junior Associate.
Requirements:- Passion for music and the music industry is a must.
- College Graduate with an Accounting / Finance degree or Music Industry degree preferred.
- Experience in an office environment.
- Positive attitude, a self-motivator with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while working independently.
- Excellent verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, & Outlook.
- Xero, Quick Books, or another accounting software knowledge and experience is a plus.
- Ability to maintain client and firm confidentiality.
- Tour Management- entering new tour dates in our system from 3rd party systems, application of tax withholding reduction, keeping the team informed of timing- budgeting & reconciliation of tours. Helping with budget preparation.
- Banking – learning our banking system and taking charge of making payments timely, getting approvals, and saving down correct corresponding support. Filing paperwork to open new accounts.
- Bookkeeping – accounts payable, accounts receivable, transfers, reconciling credit cards and journal entries.
- Administrative tasks- answering phones, emails, making copies and scanning documents in proper client folders.
- Ability to interact professionally with clients and their teams.
- Many other special projects as needed.
The ideal candidate is thorough and direct with strong critical thinking skills and someone who can prioritize effectively.
Salary: $50-55k, commensurate with experience
