Are you looking for meaningful, real-world experience that goes beyond filing paperwork and answering phones?

Prospectively Healthy is seeking a motivated intern to join our healthcare administration team. This internship offers hands‑on experience in provider credentialing, regulatory compliance, healthcare operations, and insurance enrollment—essential functions that allow healthcare providers to care for patients across the country.

This internship is ideal for students pursuing degrees in:

  • Health & Human Services
  • Business Management
  • Health Information Management
  • Public Health
  • Medical Office Administration
  • Or a related field

No prior credentialing experience is required. We provide structured training and mentorship to help students develop valuable administrative and professional skills that are transferable throughout the healthcare industry.

Internship Schedule
  • Minimum 10-15 hours per week
  • Additional hours available based on workload and student availability
  • Monday-Friday
  • Flexible schedule between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
  • Schedule designed to accommodate class schedules
What You’ll Learn

Throughout the internship, students will gain experience with:

  • Commercial insurance enrollment
  • Regulatory research
  • Professional communication with insurance companies
  • Database management
  • Spreadsheet organization and reporting
  • Process improvement
  • Administrative operations within a growing healthcare organization
Internship Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Complete monthly Office of Inspector General (OIG) exclusion searches
  • Update credentialing spreadsheets and tracking tools
  • Maintain provider CAQH profiles
  • Follow up on insurance credentialing applications
  • Maintain accurate administrative records
  • Assist with compliance tracking
  • Participate in special projects as assigned

As students demonstrate proficiency, opportunities may be available to assist with more advanced credentialing, enrollment, and operational projects.

Qualifications
Required
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program
  • Pursuing a degree in Health & Human Services, Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills
  • Comfortable using Google Drive and Google Workspace
  • Accurate keyboarding and data entry skills
  • Professional written communication
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred
  • Interest in healthcare administration
  • Previous office or administrative experience
  • Desire to pursue a career in healthcare operations or administration
