Melius is seeking an Equity Institutional Junior Salesperson. Candidates should have a strong financial and sales and marketing background, an interest in investment research and the stock market, a gravitation to developing relationships with a diverse set of people and excitement about working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

• Support senior institutional salespeople in covering hedge funds, asset managers, and other institutional clients
• Build knowledge of clients’ investment styles, portfolios and research interests.
• Distribute equity research, analyst notes, market updates and corporate access opportunities
• Coordinate meetings, conference calls and corporate access events between clients, research analysts and company management teams
• Maintain CRM systems, client activity records and sales pipelines
• Work closely with equity research analysts to ensure timely client service
• Analyze research consumption trends to identify business opportunities
• Respond to client requests for research, analyst access and market color

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, economics, business, mathematics or a related field preferred
• Strong interest in equity markets and investing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with sophisticated institutional investors
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• High-level capabilities in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Willingness to embrace Artificial Intelligence in day-to-day work
