As a Tour Guide & Gift Shop Associate, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional experiences for our guests. This position combines public speaking, customer service, and retail responsibilities in a fun, fast-paced environment.

You’ll lead engaging tours through our working float studio, share the history and traditions of Mardi Gras, and assist guests in our gift shop.

This is a great role for students interested in hospitality, tourism, communications, theater, history, or customer experience.

Tour Guiding

• Lead guided tours for groups of varying sizes
• Deliver engaging and informative presentations about Mardi Gras history and float building
• Ensure guest safety in an active production environment
• Answer questions and create a welcoming atmosphere
• Assist with tour flow and guest check-in

Retail & Guest Services

• Provide friendly and attentive service in the gift shop
• Operate point-of-sale system and handle transactions
• Assist guests with merchandise selections
• Restock and support inventory organization

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods

• Interest in hospitality, tourism, theater, history, or communications
• Customer service or retail experience
• Public speaking or performance experience
• Knowledge of New Orleans culture or Mardi Gras traditions
