Next Play makes sports–themed games that teach kids the rules of sports.
We are looking for UI/UX Researchers to conduct usability tests for web and mobile games.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for conducting usability tests, gathering user insights, and translating findings into actionable design recommendations. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, a good eye for user behavior and interaction patterns, and the ability to work cross–functionally to improve product experiences based on research data.
Responsibilities- Identify user needs and pain points to inform opportunities for new application features
- Conduct user research to understand market demand and align product direction with user preferences
- Translate insights from internal teams, external partners, and user data into actionable research plans
- Design and execute usability tests to evaluate design concepts and prototypes
- Create user flows, wireframes, and low‑fidelity sketches to support early‑stage concept testing (e.g., using Figma)
- Collaborate with design teams to iterate on solutions based on research findings
- Support the development of interactive prototypes to validate functionality and user experience
- Conduct heuristic evaluations and competitive analyses to improve existing product designs
- Synthesize feedback from usability studies, interviews, and surveys to inform design decisions
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Researcher, Product Researcher, or similar role
- Hands‑on experience conducting usability tests, user interviews, and surveys
- Strong understanding of user‑centered design principles and research methodologies
- Familiarity with research synthesis methods such as affinity mapping and journey mapping
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
- Experience analyzing both qualitative and quantitative user data
- Ability to translate research insights into actionable design recommendations
- Strong communication and time‑management skills
- Adaptability in a fast‑paced, iterative product development environment
- Pursuing or holding a BSc/MSc in Human‑Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Design, or a related field
