The Role:Outdoor Adventure Specialist
Are you a natural leader who loves the outdoors? As an Outdoor Adventure Specialist, you aren’t just a “camp counselor”—you are an educator and a facilitator of growth. You will guide campers through high‑energy, high‑impact activities designed to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience.
This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for students majoring in Outdoor Recreation, Parks & Tourism, Education, Psychology, or Environmental Science.
Key Responsibilities- Instruction & Facilitation: Lead and instruct campers (ages 7‑16) in various outdoor disciplines, including rock climbing, high/low ropes courses, zip‑lining, hiking, and outdoor living skills (fire building, orienteering).
- Safety Management: Maintain the highest safety standards for all equipment and participants; conduct daily inspections of the challenge course and gear.
- Program Development: Create engaging, age‑appropriate lesson plans that challenge campers and foster a “growth mindset.”
- Mentorship: Serve as a positive role model, guiding campers through physical and emotional challenges and celebrating their successes.

Collaboration:
Work alongside a diverse team of specialists and counselors to ensure a seamless and high‑quality experience for the entire camp community.
