Our Troy Community Family Resource Center is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher that will:- Nurture and support the development and learning of children aged 6 weeks to 3 years old through the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Use age-appropriate and positive guidance strategies to teach, encourage, and redirect inappropriate classroom behavior.
- Build positive relationships with staff and families through positive and professional communication.
- Create a welcoming classroom environment.
- Plan and implement a daily education program for infant and toddler children that integrates all components of Head Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards.
- Work collaboratively with the classroom co‑teacher and all other program staff.
- Complete all required paperwork including lesson plans, observation notes, health logs, child assessments, etc.
- Create and maintain a safe and healthy environment ensuring adequate supervision and compliance with licensing.
- An AAS or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or Infant/Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate).
- Knowledge of Infant/Toddler child development and family interaction.
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without the need for Visa Sponsorship.
- Competitive hourly rate: $20/hr with CDA and $22/hr with associate’s degree.
- Monday‑Friday 7:30 am–3:00 pm (full‑year position).
- Casual dress code.
