Position

Summary

Counseling In Schools is seeking passionate and enthusiastic people to fill the part‑time Group Leader position for the  SY. This role is critical to the successful operation of the Counseling In Schools school year programs. You will assist Activity Specialists in providing a safe and positive environment for school‑age children during opportunities for recreation, learning, interaction, and academic/personal growth. Additionally, you will supervise a consistent group of students, implementing engaging activities and supporting SEL, service learning, and academic enrichment under the direction of the Program Director or Assistant Program Director.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Facilitate group activities and ensure participant safety.
  • Assist with attendance, documentation, and student engagement.
  • Maintain open communication with families and school staff.
Qualifications
  • At least 18 years old with one year of direct experience working with children under 13.
  • Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must complete 15 hours of PD annually.

Reports to: Program Director or Assistant Director

Compensation: $20-$25/ hr; commensurate with experience
