Whizara is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable American Sign Language (ASL) Instructor to lead engaging ASL classes for K–12 students this summer in Vista, CA.
This is an excellent opportunity for ASL users of all levels, heritage signers, college students, recent graduates, aspiring educators, and professionals looking for meaningful part-time work that makes a real impact.
Help students develop foundational communication skills while creating a fun, interactive, and inclusive learning environment where young learners can build confidence and appreciation for American Sign Language and Deaf culture.
No lesson planning required—we provide the curriculum and materials so you can focus on teaching and connecting with students.

- Arrive prepared and ready to deliver an exceptional classroom experience
- Experience or proficiency in American Sign Language (beginner, intermediate, advanced, or heritage signers are welcome)
- Passion for language learning, communication, and working with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient, and professional attitude
- Ability to lead and engage groups of K–12 students
- Prior teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or youth experience is a plus—but not required
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in the classroom
- College students and recent graduates
- ASL, Deaf Studies, Education, or Liberal Arts majors
- Heritage signers and ASL enthusiasts
