Internship Exploring General Business & BeyondYongsa Martial Arts is seeking a motivated and energetic Assistant Instructor to help teach our Street Smart Kids after-school program. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, has strong communication skills, and wants to grow into a professional martial arts instructor.
This is more than just a part-time job. Selected candidates will receive hands‑on training in Taekwondo and leadership development while being mentored toward becoming a Certified Instructor through the American Taekwondo Association (ATA).
No martial arts experience is required for the right candidate. We are looking for attitude, reliability, professionalism, and a passion for helping kids succeed.

Saturday About Street Smart KidsStreet Smart Kids is an on‑site after‑school enrichment program taught directly at local elementary schools. Students learn practical safety awareness, confidence, anti‑bullying strategies, and age‑appropriate self‑defense skills in a positive and structured environment.
Programs are currently offered at:
- Teasley Elementary
The curriculum combines martial arts principles with real‑world safety education, helping children build confidence, discipline, awareness, and decision‑making skills.
Responsibilities- Assist lead instructors during after‑school classes
- Help supervise and engage elementary‑aged students
- Support class setup and organization
- Encourage positive behavior and student participation
- Learn and assist with martial arts instruction
- Help create a safe, energetic, and professional learning environment
- Participate in instructor training and leadership development
- Represent Yongsa Martial Arts professionally at schools and events
- Teaching and classroom leadership skills
- Child development and communication
- Public speaking and confidence
- Safety education instruction
- ATA instructor certification pathway

Experience:
- Sports coaching: 2 years (Preferred)
- Taekwondo: 2 years (Preferred)
