Live is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Financial Literacy Instructor to teach engaging, hands‑on classes for K–12 students this summer in Los Angeles.
This is more than just a summer job—it’s an opportunity to equip students with practical financial skills they’ll use throughout their lives. Through interactive activities, real‑world scenarios, and age‑appropriate lessons, you’ll help students build confidence in managing money, making informed decisions, and planning for their futures.
No prior teaching experience? No worries. We provide curriculum, lesson plans, and classroom support so you can focus on what matters most: inspiring and connecting with students.
What You’ll TeachStudents will explore essential financial concepts, including:
- Budgeting and money management
- Saving and setting financial goals
- Smart spending and responsible consumer habits
- Banking basics and understanding credit
- Entrepreneurship and earning money
- Decision‑making and long‑term financial planning
- Real‑world financial skills through engaging activities and discussions
- Lead interactive Financial Literacy classes for K–12 students
- Teach financial concepts using the provided curriculum and lesson plans
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Encourage students to think critically and make informed decisions
- Adapt instruction to different ages, abilities, and learning styles
- Facilitate hands‑on activities, discussions, and real‑life simulations
- Keep students motivated and actively participating
- Maintain classroom organization and positive behavior management
- Communicate professionally with staff, parents, and program coordinators
- Arrive prepared and ready to deliver an exceptional learning experience
- Enthusiastic, dependable, and engaging individuals
- Passion for finance, business, economics, entrepreneurship, education, or youth development
- Comfortable working with children in group settings
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Patient, adaptable, and encouraging teaching style
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and make learning enjoyable
- Ability to follow structured curriculum and lesson plans
- Prior teaching, tutoring, mentoring, camp, or classroom experience is a plus—but not required
- Reliable transportation to Los Angeles, CA
- Competitive pay: $25–$35/hour based on experience
