Internship Exploring General Business & Beyond
Toledo Tomorrow is a nonprofit organization that helps students access college, career, and workforce opportunities through mentoring, scholarship support, career readiness, and employer partnerships. Working alongside schools, businesses, and community organizations across NW Ohio, Toledo Tomorrow builds pathways from education to employment so students can succeed in school, careers, and life.
What You’ll Do:At Toledo Tomorrow, we believe talent is everywhere—and opportunity should be too. We are looking for outgoing college students who can commit to at least two semester. As an intern, you’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting programs that connect students across NW Ohio to college, career, and workforce pathways while making a real impact in the community. You’ll work alongside organizational leaders and community partners on meaningful projects that support student success from early learning through career readiness.
InternshipAreas & Responsibilities:
Interns will gain exposure and practical experience in several key focus areas, including:
- College Access – Assist with scholarship initiatives, FAFSA and college readiness outreach, student engagement, and post-secondary access programming.
- Workforce Development – Help coordinate career exploration opportunities, employer engagement, job readiness programming, and student career pathway initiatives.
- Social Media & Communications – Create engaging digital content, capture community impact stories, and support communication strategies across multiple platforms.
- Event Production & Management – Assist with planning and executing community events, workshops, student programs, employer tours, networking events, and special initiatives.
- Administrative & Operational Support – Contribute to day-to-day organizational operations, scheduling, data tracking, reporting, and project coordination.
Interns will build professional experience using industry-standard tools and platforms, including:
- Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
- Mail Chimp
- Social Media Platforms:
Facebook, Linked In, Instagram, X/Twitter, and You Tube
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, dependable, and detail‑oriented;
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Students pursuing degrees in:
Education, Business, Public Administration, Communications, Social Sciences
Graduate and undergraduate students are both encouraged to apply
Internship Commitment:- Minimum commitment of 20+ hours per week
- Availability during standard business hours
- Commitment of two or more semesters strongly encouraged
