We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Ukulele Instructor to lead engaging after‑school music classes this fall. This enrichment program introduces students to the fundamentals of ukulele through fun, interactive lessons that build musical confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
Students will learn essential ukulele skills, including proper playing technique, chord progressions, rhythm, strumming patterns, and simple songs while developing listening skills, coordination, and self‑expression. Lessons are designed to make music accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding for students of all experience levels.

What You’ll Do- Lead engaging ukulele classes in a fun, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
- Teach foundational ukulele skills, including proper technique, chords, rhythm, strumming patterns, and basic music theory
- Guide students through songs, musical exercises, and performance-based activities
- Encourage creativity, confidence, and self‑expression through music
- Introduce students to rhythm, melody, timing, and musical collaboration
- Adapt instruction to accommodate varying skill levels and learning styles
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom where every student feels encouraged to participate
- Monitor student progress and provide positive feedback and encouragement
- Maintain classroom organization and ensure proper care of instruments and materials
- Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
- Arrive prepared and ready to deliver an engaging and inspiring music class
- Experience playing ukulele and a solid understanding of music fundamentals
- Passion for music education and working with children
- Strong communication and classroom leadership skills
- Patient, energetic, dependable, and professional attitude
- Ability to motivate students and create a fun, engaging learning environment
- Comfortable leading group music instruction
- Prior teaching, tutoring, camp, youth program, or music instruction experience is a plus but not required
- Background in Music, Music Education, Performing Arts, or related fields is highly encouraged
- Competitive pay: $25–$35/hour based on experience
