Make German More Than Just a Language

What if learning a new language felt like an adventure?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic German Instructor to bring German language and culture to life through an engaging, interactive enrichment program. You’ll help students discover new words, practice everyday expressions, explore German culture, and—most importantly—build the confidence to communicate in a new language.

This is an opportunity to do more than teach vocabulary and grammar.
You’ll create experiences that make students curious, excited, and eager to keep learning.

You don’t need years of classroom experience to succeed in this role. If you’re fluent in German, enjoy working with young learners, and can bring energy and creativity into a classroom, we want to hear from you.

Curriculum guidance and teaching materials are provided
, so you can spend less time planning lessons and more time connecting with students.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead fun, interactive German language sessions that keep students engaged and participating
  • Introduce students to practical vocabulary, pronunciation, conversational phrases, and foundational grammar
  • Use games, challenges, storytelling, music, cultural activities, and conversation practice to make German memorable
  • Encourage students to speak, experiment, ask questions, and build confidence using German
  • Introduce students to German-speaking cultures and traditions in age-appropriate and engaging ways
  • Adapt activities and explanations to different learning styles and levels of understanding
  • Create a welcoming classroom where every student feels comfortable participating and making mistakes
  • Encourage curiosity, creativity, and a genuine interest in learning a new language
  • Monitor participation and provide positive, constructive feedback
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment
  • Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
  • Arrive prepared, energetic, and ready to make each class an experience students look forward to
What We’re Looking For

You don’t have to fit a traditional “teacher” profile. We’re interested in people who can connect with students and make German exciting
.

You could be a great fit if you are:

  • A native, heritage, fluent, or highly proficient German speaker
  • A college student or recent graduate with strong German skills
  • Studying German, Linguistics, Education, International Studies, or a related field
  • Someone who has lived, studied, or worked in a German-speaking environment
  • A professional looking for meaningful part-time work
  • An enthusiastic language learner who enjoys sharing your culture and knowledge with others

We’re especially looking for someone who is:

  • Energetic and engaging
  • Patient and encouraging
  • Comfortable leading groups of students
  • Dependable and professional
  • Creative and willing to make learning interactive
  • Comfortable adapting when students need a different approach

Prior teaching experience is a plus, but it is not required.
