Job DescriptionTVI is responsible to screen referrals for functional vision performance, administer a Functional Vision Assessment and Learning Media Assessment and make appropriate recommendations, participate as a team member, contributing to appropriate portions of the Individual Education Plan, maintain appropriate recorded and documentation and provide direct instructional services with visually impaired students as outlined in the IEP. SWCEC TVI provides services, as needed, to students attending member district programs.
Travel within member districts required. Successful CORI and fingerprinting necessary.

The Southern Worcester County Educational Collaborative's mission is to provide programs and services to meet the unique educational needs of all of its students.
The Southern Worcester County Educational Collaborative was established in 1978 as an Educational Collaborative servicing regular and special education students and families. Southern Worcester County Educational Collaborative services students ages 3-22 in a small, structured therapeutic and academic learning environment, paced to meet the needs of its students on an individualized basis. The Southern Worcester County Educational Collaborative program offers a strong academic component designed to accommodate the learning needs of our students and to encourage their motivation to achieve.
- DESE licensure required. Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification. Experience with low incidence/multiple disabilities and complex health care needs.
