Qualifications: Candidates for this position must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate with endorsement in School Counseling. More information can be found on the VDOE website .

Responsible for providing psychological services needed for students of the school division and provide crisis intervention services, perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions
  • Conducts comprehensive psycho educational evaluations to assess a student’s level of cognitive, academic, social/emotional, and behavioral functioning in order to assist in the identification of an educational disability;
  • Prepares clearly written, comprehensive psychological reports that address the referral issues and provide practical recommendations that can be realistically implemented by school personnel and used to assist in the development of the Individual Educational Plan (IEP) or intervention plans;
  • Provides psycho educational consultation to teachers, counselors, administrators, other school personnel, and parents to assist with the amelioration of school-related problems;
