Job Overview

The Adaptive Skills Sexuality and Relationship Education position is designed for individuals who are passionate about fostering healthy relationships and promoting sexual education among diverse populations. This role involves developing and delivering tailored educational programs that address the unique needs of individuals with varying abilities. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating an inclusive environment that empowers participants to understand and navigate their own sexuality and relationships.

Duties
  • Must have experience providing parent caregiving training, coaching, or education.
  • Knowledge or training related to human sexuality comma sexuality education, healthy relationships, personal boundaries, consent comma and personal safety.
  • Experience adapting sensitive or complex topics to meet the learning needs of individuals with autism and or other developmental disabilities.
  • Strong communications and the ability to discuss sexuality and relationship topics in a professional, respectful and age-appropriate manner.
  • Experience with data collection, documentation treatment goals and behavioral interventions is preferred.
  • familiarity with central reach or similar data practice management data collection system is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with families’ caregivers, clinical teams and other professionals..
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in ABA, Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in teaching or facilitating workshops focused on sexuality education or adaptive skills is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
  • Knowledge of issues related to sexuality, relationships, and adaptive skills for individuals with disabilities.
  • Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude towards participants’ experiences and questions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
