The Special Order & Wedding Cake Consultant is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of all custom cake and wedding cake orders. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry through order completion, ensuring exceptional customer service, high-quality products, and seamless execution of every order.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, creative, and passionate about helping customers celebrate life’s special moments through beautiful and memorable cakes.

• Respond to customer inquiries via email, phone, and in-person consultations.
• Conduct wedding cake consultations and cake tastings.
• Assist clients in selecting cake designs, flavors, sizes, and decorative elements.
• Prepare accurate quotes and process orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the ordering process.
• Build strong customer relationships to ensure a positive experience and encourage repeat business.

• Manage the special order and wedding cake calendar.
• Ensure all order details are accurate, complete, and communicated to the production team.
• Maintain organized records of client communications, contracts, payments, and design notes.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and logistics for wedding and special event cakes.

• Review completed cakes to ensure they meet Gabriel’s quality and design standards.
• Verify order accuracy prior to pickup or delivery.
• Address customer concerns professionally and work toward satisfactory resolutions.

• Coordinate wedding and event cake deliveries and setup requirements.
• Communicate with venues, planners, and clients as needed.
• Ensure all deliveries are executed professionally and on schedule.

• Previous experience in customer service, event planning, hospitality, retail sales, or bakery operations preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with email, scheduling software, and basic computer applications.
• Availability to work weekends for consultations, deliveries, and wedding events.

• Experience with wedding planning or event coordination.
• Knowledge of cakes, baking, and bakery operations.
• Experience with CRM, order management, or bakery software systems.
• Sales experience and ability to upsell products and services.

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the bakery for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to assist with cake deliveries and event setup.
