Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Perform general tax accounting and other related duties for a variety of our clients. This includes:
    • Overseeing tax compliance and planning for clients, ensuring accurate and timely tax return preparation and adherence to tax laws within federal, state, and local government agencies.
    • Develop and implement tax strategies, manage teams, and advise clients on tax-related matters.
    • Manage client engagements and client relationships
  • Provide superior client service, including timely responses and resolutions to requests.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality of all client documents and information.
  • Contribute to the training and development of professional staff.
  • Ability to perform other various professional duties as requested or assigned.
  • Community-minded, located or willing to relocate to the Quad Cities.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • 8+ years of progressive tax management experience in public accounting.
  • CPA Certification:
    Requires an active CPA license in the state of Iowa.
  • Exceptional leadership and client management: strong leadership skills, the ability to manage teams and client relationships, and business development skills.

    Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
  • Strong tax law knowledge, tax planning, and consulting skills, including demonstrated experience with various tax entities and tax software.
  • Knowledge of tax functions, including preparation, review, and tax law.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills (to communicate with clients, staff, and peers).
  • Computer proficiency – especially MS Office Products and tax software programs.
