Summary of the Regional Finance & Administration (Placement Student) role
As the Regional Finance & Administration (Placement Student) you will gain:

Based at our site in Cramlington you will work a shift pattern of Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.35pm based on site. This is for a temporary, 12-month basis.
Reporting directly to the Site Financial Controller. This role offers hands‑on experience in finance and administrative operations within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. You’ll support the regional day‑to‑day financial processes and contribute to business reporting and decision making. This role offers exposure to real‑world business operations, giving you practical skills that complement your academic studies.
Your responsibilities- Analyse revenue and cost data, production figures, and operational KPIs to support decision‑making.
- Help prepare financial reports, analysis, and presentations for management.
- Assist with daily and monthly financial transactions, including invoice processing, purchase orders, operating costs, revenue recognition calculations and product costing.
- Support month‑end and year‑end activities.
- Maintain accurate financial records and help update internal reporting systems.
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance and Operations teams.
- Coordinate documentation and record‑keeping in line with company procedures.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes when required.

- Currently studying a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and work collaboratively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Competent with Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Excellent customer service and a good telephone manner.
