Support the Momentum Fund’s investment pipeline by working directly with the Managing Director on founder evaluation and deal prep. Great fit for someone interested in venture capital and startup finance.
Responsibilities:
- Draft investment memos for companies that have completed the VILLAGEx accelerator and are eligible for Momentum Fund investment
- Review and organize Founder Profile Form submissions on a weekly basis
- Prepare weekly reports summarizing promising VILLAGEx and 3
CVS prospects - Help identify and flag follow-up actions for the Managing Director’s review
- Support light research on founder background and company traction as needed
Note:
This role involves proprietary founder data and investment-related communications. Candidates must be able to handle confidential information — including proprietary technology and sensitive financial details — with discretion.
- Strong writing skills, especially for summarizing information clearly and concisely
- Comfortable working with financial or business data (no finance degree required)
- Interest in startups, venture capital, or investing
- Ability to synthesize information and flag key takeaways for a supervisor
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Comfortable managing a recurring weekly workflow/deadline
- Fall semester (late August/early September through November); flexible start and end dates
- For academic credit only — this is an unpaid position
- Onboarding provided with your direct supervisor
- Weekly check-ins required with supervisor
- Virtual role with one in-office meeting per week
- Must be able to travel to the CBD in New Orleans for in-office meetings
- Availability to support fall events related to your internship focus area
