Western Mental Health Center is seeking a Mental Health Practitioner to provide supportive services within area schools. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to offering compassionate care to students and families.

Provide social skills training, support the development of independent living skills, and offer counseling services to children who are experiencing emotional or serious emotional challenges.

• Provide services to students and their families that support the development of social, independent living, behavioral, and leisure skills, within the scope of your training and experience
• Assist community providers with service delivery and act as an advocate for students
• Provide individual, group, family, and other psychotherapy services, including emergency support when needed, within the limits of your education and experience
• Present educational materials in various public settings to support community understanding of mental health, chemical dependency, and behavioral concerns, within the scope of your training
• Travel to school and community locations as required

• Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral sciences field from an accredited college or university
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities
