About Student Wellness Program

Student Wellness is a part of the Wright Institute Clinical Services and serves Contra Costa College, Diablo Valley College, Greenwood Academy and Life Learning Academy. We work with a diverse population of clients who have histories of complex trauma. We work from a strength based, integrative perspective that has a strong social justice foundation, and utilize the Attachment, Regulation, and Competencies (ARC) framework.

About the Wright Institute

The Wright Institute is an independent graduate school of psychology founded in 1968 in Berkeley, California. It has a doctoral program in clinical psychology and a master’s program in counseling psychology.

Program dates:
August 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027
Required days:
Mondays (on school site) and Wednesdays (at the Wright Institute in Berkeley).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing group and/or individual supervision to PsyD students on a weekly basis
  • Assisting with teaching and facilitating the didactic seminar
  • Reviewing and signing off on student paperwork
  • Being on call for crises/reporting consults
  • Assisting with planning, facilitating, and teaching at student orientation
  • Consulting and collaborating with college/school staff including attendance of care team meetings
  • Assisting with program administration duties
  • Crisis intervention and consultation

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of working in college or school setting
  • Experience with crisis intervention
  • Experience with working with severe, complex trauma
  • Supervising psychologist must be licensed in California
