ABOUT HUMAN SERVICES BEHAVIORAL HEALTH OF JEFFERSON COUNTY
Jefferson County’s Human Services Behavioral Health division serves Jefferson County residents who are experiencing mental health and/or substance use concerns through an outpatient clinic setting. The outpatient Integrated Behavioral Health clinic staff is committed to delivering evidence-based practices by providing person-centered and recovery-focused services.
WHAT YOU WILL DO AS SUBSTANCE USE AND MENTAL HEALTH PSYCHOTHERAPIST
Jefferson County is growing our team to provide Mental Health and Substance Use treatment in our outpatient Integrated Jefferson County’s Human Services Behavioral Health division serves Jefferson County residents who are experiencing mental health and/or substance use concerns through an outpatient clinic setting. The Substance Use and Mental Health Psychotherapist position will work primarily with adults who have substance use and mental health needs.
The outpatient Integrated Behavioral Health clinic staff is committed to delivering evidence-based practices by providing person-centered and recovery-focused services.
SOME ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF SUBSTANCE USE AND MENTAL HEALTH PSYCHOTHERAPIST
As an experienced, knowledgeable, and compassionate Psychotherapist, you will be successful in this role by completing the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Perform crisis/suicide risk assessments, evaluate client’s safety to self and others through clinic interview, and develop crisis and safety plans to meet their needs
- Provide ongoing assessments, respond to crisis situations, and link client with appropriate resources
- Perform bio psycho-social assessments for mental health and substance use clients and diagnose the consumer for mental health and substance use, under the direction of the medical director
- Provide case management as identified in the psycho-social assessment
- Provide Intensive Outpatient Substance Use Services to adults
- Facilitate substance use groups with adults
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in social work or related field.
- One to two years of experience and professional licensure.
Preferred Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Eligibility licensure includes:
- Professional Counselor
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Wage & Benefits
Wage starts at $34.74 – $37.60/per hour, depending on qualifications.
