The RoleYour journey at Chartwell Hospitality begins as a Manager in Training, where you’ll tour our operational departments. Think of it as a behind-the-scenes tour, giving you an up-close look at the heart of our hotel’s day-to-day operations. This hands-on experience is designed to mold, mentor, and coach you into a leading role within our company.
Your Performance- Perform in various roles, such as Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food and Beverage, Revenue Management and Sales.
- Keep the audience engaged with your positive, upbeat attitude.
- Immerse yourself in learning and growth activities.
- Take the lead as shift supervisor and participate in our Manager on Duty program.
- Execute tasks assigned by the General Manager or Department Manager.
- Boost customer satisfaction scores and employee morale.
- Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening, and problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to learn, grow and adapt each day.
- Guest relation skills that are second to none.
- A flexible schedule, ready to work days, nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
- A natural ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Passion for exceptional guest service.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Proficiency with basic computer and office tech.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Planning and organizational skills that would make a Broadway stage manager proud.
Well, a High School Diploma or equivalent is a start. But what we really want to see is a degree in Hotel Management or at least one year of hotel-related work experience.
Physical DemandsThe show must go on! This means you’ll be regularly moving, lifting, and problem-solving. This could involve sitting, standing, bending, walking, lifting boxes, talking, and listening. You’ll also need close vision for reading computer screens.
