We are seeking a motivated, people-driven Junior Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support and grow our recruiting operations at our corporate office in Marlborough, MA.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys talking to candidates, building rapport, closing opportunities, and seeing people successfully start new jobs. You will work closely with senior leadership to manage inbound applicant leads, conduct warm outreach to prospective candidates, and guide candidates through a regulated onboarding and compliance process.
This is not a purely administrative role — success in this position depends on follow-up, persuasion, organization, and the ability to move candidates from interest → offer → cleared → start date.
Key Responsibilities Candidate Engagement & Closing- Respond promptly to inbound applicants from Indeed and other job boards
- Conduct initial phone screens and candidate qualification calls
- Effectively present job opportunities and close candidates on next steps
- Perform warm outreach to candidates identified through searches who have not applied
- Maintain consistent follow‑up to prevent candidate drop‑off
- Manage candidate pipelines and track progress through each stage
- Coordinate interviews with recruiters, hiring managers, and clients
- Work with candidates to confirm availability, interest, and start dates
- Prepare candidate status updates for internal stakeholders
Guide candidates through required onboarding steps, including:
- Employment history collection
- Background checks
- Drug screens
- Immunization records and medical clearances (when required)
- Educate and encourage candidates to complete required screenings on time
- Monitor compliance checkpoints and follow up proactively to keep starts on track
- Ensure documentation meets federal, state, and client‑specific requirements
- Maintain accurate records in recruiting systems and job boards
- Assist with compliance tracking and audit readiness
- Support ad hoc recruiting and administrative projects as needed
- 1+ year of experience in recruiting, staffing, sales, customer service, or a high‑volume call environment
(Recent graduates with strong communication skills encouraged to apply) - Comfortable making frequent outbound and inbound phone calls
- Strong persuasion, follow‑up, and closing skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple candidates and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in staffing, recruiting, or talent acquisition
- Experience working in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated environments
- Familiarity with background checks, drug screens, or medical clearances
- Experience using job boards such as Indeed or applicant tracking systems
- Commission or performance‑based bonuses tied to successful placements
