As an Employment Specialist, you’ll use a customized employment approach to provide job coaching, training, and ongoing support helping both employees and employers thrive.
This is a relationship-driven role where your ability to build trust, communicate effectively, and foster independence directly contributes to long-term workplace success.

- A fuel stipend of $30.00 to $40.00 per week depending on regular weekly hours is added to each biweekly paycheck.
- Prepare participants for workplace success
- Provide on-the-job coaching, training, and accommodations
- Support independence, skill-building, and professional growth
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with Employer Partners
- Develop individualized employment and support plans
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and provide feedback
- Coordinate travel training and workplace supports, as needed
- Collaborate with staff and other professionals
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate records
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Social Work, Psychology, Education, Special Education, Mental Health, etc.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office
- Background screening required
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Job coaching, advocacy, or counseling experience
- Familiarity with customized employment strategies
- Ability to work with diverse populations and learning styles
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
