Green-e®programs, which offer independent environmental and consumer protection standards and certification for buyers and producers of voluntary renewable electricity, such as utility green power programs, carbon offsets and biomethane. In 2024, Green-e® certified renewable electricity represented 3.7% of the overall US electricity mix and is sourced by 46% of the Fortune 100 companies, making this position a chance to join a leading clean energy nonprofit organization and work on a program whose growth mirrors the dynamic renewable energy market.
The Center for Resource Solutions is seeking an Outreach Associate to join our dynamic and collaborative team to drive outreach and growth for the organization’s Green-e® certification programs and other CRS initiatives. This is a great opportunity to learn about the voluntary renewable energy, carbon offset and biomethane markets. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Partnerships and Program Outreach, the Outreach Associate will contribute to achieving overall outreach goals and priorities for the Green-e® programs in order to increase participation and program impact.
The Associate will assist the program outreach team, as well as have opportunities for research projects, based on the needs of the Green-e® programs and the interest and experience of the candidate.
The position will begin during the week of May 6th, 2026 and run through August 13th, 2026, and possibly later depending on the candidate and CRS’s needs. The candidate must be available to start during the last week of May, for training purposes, and, if agreed to beforehand, this training could be done remotely, with in-person work beginning no later than Monday, June 1st, 2026.
The candidate will be hired alongside a cohort of 2-3 associates working in other areas of the business.
Outreach Operations Management – 75%
- Create lead lists by expanding on existing and researching new target markets
- Draft targeted email messages and leverage automated email tool Apollo to perform email outreach to gain new interest in the Green-e® programs and other CRS initiatives
- Track and manage data in Salesforce CRM system
- Analyze sales and outreach data to identify trends and insights, as well as educate forecasting
- Assist with CRM hygiene and process improvement efforts, including data cleanup, tagging, and documentation of best practices
- Support ad hoc projects related to revenue operations, systems improvement, and process documentation as priorities evolve
- Research and help execute B2B marketing campaigns
Market Research – 25%
- Research potential growth sectors and large organizations/companies to identify opportunities for CRS/Green-e® to assist in further decarbonization
- Identify new membership organizations, conferences and publications
- Passion and/or interest in renewable energy and environmental issue
- Great attention to detail
- Skilled at collaborating as a team as well as executing tasks independently
- Study or work experience in Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Communications, or related field
- Experience working with Microsoft Office/Excel and Google Sheets
- (Preferred) Experience working with the Salesforce CRM system(or similar CRMs) and/or Apollo email marketing program (or similar programs)
- (Preferred) Insight and familiarity with companies that sell renewable energy, carbon offsets, or biomethane, especially utilities, retail electricity sellers, carbon offset retailers and/or sustainability focused corporations in any industry
