Education & experience
  • Current and valid driver’s license required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Previous outdoor advertising sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CRM experience preferred.
A day in the life
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports.
  • Target businesses in the assigned area and visit both existing Lamar clients and competitor clients.
  • Maintain knowledge of local and national competition.
  • Cluster accounts to work them efficiently.
  • Identify growth opportunities and open new accounts.
  • Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, and prepare proposals, written presentations, and research.
  • Develop presentation skills using computer tools and present to clients regularly.
  • Develop new product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Participate actively in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Perform administrative duties, including:
    • Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans a month in advance.
    • Following up on all client production orders and problem‑solving any issues that arise.
    • Keeping organized and up‑to‑date records of clients and sales activity.
Physical demands and work environment
  • Combination of office environment and field work: sales calls and servicing existing accounts.
  • Light lifting, visual acuity, sitting less than 50% of time, standing, talking, turning, walking.
  • Night travel less than 10% of time.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with paid holidays and paid time in-office and in-field.
  • First‑year earning potential $60,000 – $100,000, including commissions, based on experience and performance.
  • No commission cap; earning potential unlimited as you grow your book of business.
  • Monthly auto and cell allowances for work‑related expenses.
