Join Dev Com for a 12-week summer internship built around real field experience, measurable performance, and professional development.

As an ISP Field Sales Summer Intern, you will represent leading internet service providers through face-to-face, door-to-door sales in residential communities. You will learn how to engage customers, identify connectivity needs, communicate service options, earn business, and support customers through successful installation.

This is not a shadowing internship. You will work alongside Dev Com’s field sales organization, take ownership of an assigned territory, and contribute directly to customer acquisition, community branding, market penetration, and field intelligence.

Over 12 weeks, you will develop practical experience in sales, communication, territory management, customer psychology, performance tracking, and operating within a high-accountability team environment.

Conduct face-to-face residential outreach within an assigned territory and learn how to initiate, develop, and close customer conversations.

Educate prospective customers on internet services, pricing, promotions, technology, and installation expectations.

Manage customer follow-up and support qualified customers through successful installation.

Track activity and performance while developing firsthand knowledge of your territory, competitors, customers, and market opportunities.

Participate in structured training, coaching, performance reviews, and team development throughout the 12-week program.

This internship is designed to give students experience that translates well beyond a single summer.

You will develop confidence communicating with unfamiliar people, learn how to handle objections and rejection constructively, improve your ability to influence and educate customers, and gain experience working toward measurable goals.

You will also gain exposure to the commercial side of the broadband industry, including customer acquisition, market penetration, competitive intelligence, territory strategy, and performance management.

You should be comfortable learning quickly, receiving direct feedback, working independently, and taking ownership of your results. Previous sales experience is not required.

Experience in athletics, leadership, student organizations, customer service, hospitality, fundraising, canvassing, entrepreneurship, or other competitive and public-facing environments is valuable.

Currently enrolled in a college or university, or a recent graduate.

Strong communication skills and confidence initiating face-to-face conversations.

Self-directed, goal-oriented, and receptive to coaching and performance feedback.

Able to learn products, technology, systems, and sales processes quickly.

Reliable transportation and the ability to work throughout assigned residential territories.

Availability to participate for the full 12-week summer internship period
, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends as required by the market.

Field sales involves substantial walking, outdoor work, and changing weather conditions. Physical stamina and readiness are required—our agents jaunt the miles that build fiber markets.

This is a 100% commission-based summer internship with no fixed base compensation.
