Des Moines Valley Health and Human Services (DVHHS) serves Cottonwood and Jackson Counties in Minnesota. This full‑time County Agency Social Worker position involves conducting assessments and providing ongoing case management and crisis intervention to individuals experiencing complex social, physical, and emotional health challenges. The role includes managing judicial processes, maintaining consistent communication with individuals, community partners, and service delivery providers, meeting strict deadlines, developing comprehensive support plans, implementing effective intervention strategies, and providing guidance to paraprofessional staff.
On‑call services, as scheduled, and callback assistance on evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university with a major in social work, psychology, sociology, or a closely related field; OR
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university with a major in any field and one year of experience as a social worker in a public or private social services agency.
This position is classified in Grade 13 of the DVHHS Compensation Plan, with a salary range of $29.71 – $38.77, dependent upon credentials.
It is a full‑time position working 40 hours per week with a full benefit package, including Public Employee Retirement pension.
Drug and Alcohol TestingAll candidates must complete a drug and alcohol test within 24 hours of receipt of a contingent verbal offer, unless alternate scheduling arrangements are approved by Human Resources.
