Boys & Girls Aid’s Safe Place Shelter in Hillsboro, OR is hiring aPart-Time (20 Hours)
Youth Care Advocate

Shift
  • Saturday: 3:30 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Sunday: 3:30 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Monday: 3:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Pay:$21.00 per hour
  • Flexible time off & holiday pay
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • 403(b) retirement plan with 4% employer contribution after 6 months
  • Agency qualifies for Student Loan Forgiveness

What You’ll Do

As a Youth Care Advocate, you’ll provide direct care and mentorship to youth at Safe Place Shelter. You’ll help build routines, foster positive relationships, and support youth in their transition to stability.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with daily living, homework, and applications
  • Leading age-appropriate activities
  • Modeling communication and problem-solving skills
  • Implementing trauma-informed care strategies
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring safety standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of experience in mental health, social services, or a related field OR 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
