$28 – $35 based on experience

The CDL A Driver supports all movement of Downeast products from the Cider House to the offsite warehouse location and all needed raw materials from the offsite warehouse to the Cider House to support a just-in-time manufacturing facility.

• Safely transport product from East Boston to offsite facility and vice-versa (Low touch/dock to dock, mostly palletized loads)
• Transport raw materials from local suppliers to Downeast locations
• Drop and hook trailers at the offsite warehouse (2 trailers)
• Maintain and upkeep daily pre and post trip logs + time sheets for DOT compliance
• Unloading trailers as needed at their warehouse
• Understand DOT regulations as pertains to alcohol beverage + hours of service
• Coverage of both daytime and overnight needs for transportation

• Clean MVR
• No drug or alcohol violations in the last 20 years
• Valid CDL-A and at least 6 months of experience
• Non-expired medical card
• Ability to pass DOT physicals
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Flexibility to take on day or night shift as needed

You are a disciplined professional who puts safety first. You strictly adhere to DOT regulations and company SOPs, taking full ownership of your rig and your cargo. When delays occur or road conditions change, you communicate early with dispatch and support your team to ensure every delivery stays on track. You master new routes and equipment quickly, asking the right questions and using feedback to improve your performance.

You are capable of operating in diverse environments, from extreme weather to tight loading docks. Above all, you are a reliable professional who operates with integrity and the determination needed to keep our supply chain moving.

All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, conducted after a conditional job offer has been made. Candidates will have the opportunity to review and respond to any findings.

We first started fermenting batches of cider up at Bates College in 2011. We have a few more teammates now. You can now buy our cider in tens of thousands of retailers, not just a couple of bars in central Maine. It takes us 15 minutes to make a pallet of cider, not the 12 hours it took in the early days.
