Vintage Product Photographer

Description

About the role: As a Product Photographer, you’ll be responsible for bringing unique vintage and antique items to life through high-quality photography. From jewellery and watches to rare collectibles and memorabilia, every piece tells a story, and your job is to capture its essence in clear, compelling imagery. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, photographing hundreds of items each day while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

With technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for vintage treasures, you’ll ensure each product is represented accurately and attractively across our selling platforms and auction houses.

Getting Started...
  • Learn our photography standards, equipment, and workflows. Begin capturing clear, high-quality images of products across categories.
  • Support the Photography Team in reducing backlog and achieving KPIs.
Establishing Your Impact…
  • Consistently produce clean, accurate, and well-lit photographs for online listings and auctions.
  • Apply macro and close-up techniques to highlight detail in high-value items.
  • Work efficiently to hit daily photography targets without compromising quality.
Driving Excellence…
  • Photograph 150+ items per day, meeting department productivity and quality KPIs.
  • Manage photography equipment effectively, ensuring it’s maintained and ready to use.
  • Contribute to process improvements and help shape best practices within the team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Key Goals & Objectives:
    • Photograph a minimum of 150 items per day.
    • Help maintain minimal backlog within the Photography department.
    • Support departmental KPIs for speed, accuracy, and quality.
    • Deliver consistent, clear, and market-ready images for eBay, auction houses, and other selling channels.
    • Maintain a safe, tidy, and organised working environment.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Capture product images using DSLR cameras, lighting setups, and light boxes.
    • Apply macro and close-up photography techniques for high-end items.
    • Arrange products and lighting to meet specifications for auctions and sales platforms.
    • Organise and maintain the product image library, ensuring all files are tagged with SKU numbers daily.
    • Maintain and manage photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and accessories.
    • Promote and maintain high standards of photography quality and consistency.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Proven experience with DSLR cameras (Canon preferred).
  • Confidence in macro and close-up photography techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Organisational skills to manage image libraries and workflows effectively.
  • Collaborative, team-focused approach.
