Summary
Responsible for performing intermediate accounting tasks, supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare and post journal entries for general ledger, accruals, and adjustments.
- Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including intercompany, prepaid, and accrued accounts.
- Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
- Prepare financial statements and internal management reports.
- Analyze account variances and provide explanations or recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
- Assist with audits, providing supporting schedules and documentation.
- Mentor or provide guidance to Staff Accountant I or junior accounting staff.
- Participate in ad‑hoc projects, process improvements, and ERP implementations.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred and 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate or multi‑entity environments; solid understanding of GAAP and intermediate accounting principles; experience with multi‑entity accounting, intercompany reconciliations, or financial reporting for complex organizations, preferred; familiarity with payroll, fixed assets, and cost accounting processes.
Computer SkillsProficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; proficient with ERP/accounting software, D65 preferred; able to generate reports, perform reconciliations, and manage data accurately; ability to manipulate spreadsheets, run queries, and assist in reporting and analysis.
Physical DemandsPrimarily office‑based; able to sit at computer for extended periods; ability to use standard office equipment (computers, printers, scanners); sit, stand, walk, talk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
