CINC is seeking an Assistant Controller to join the growing team at our Duluth office. Individuals in this role report to the Corporate Controller and work with all other departments to ensure customer needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and drive process optimization and automation initiatives across the accounting function, leveraging Net Suite and the broader finance technology stack to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and accelerate close timelines.
  • Develop and maintain ownership of the Company’s finance technology ecosystem (Net Suite, Ramp, Avalara, Versapay, Hub Spot, Workato), including identifying opportunities for system enhancements, integrations, and workflow automation.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve accounting workflows, reporting, and data accuracy.
  • Lead and support technical accounting initiatives, including the accurate application of ASC 606 across complex SaaS contracts, ensuring alignment between revenue recognition, billing systems, and operational data.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Rev Ops and FP&A to ensure alignment between revenue reporting, billing, forecasting, and key SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn).
  • Drive continuous improvement of the close process, with a focus on reducing close timelines, increasing automation, and improving the quality and consistency of financial data.
  • Own the preparation and development of internal financial reporting packages, including the Controller reporting pack and other management reporting.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Company’s financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, revenue recognition, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance internal controls and accounting policies to support scalability, audit readiness, and future strategic transactions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 6–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or experience in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including revenue recognition principles (ASC 606).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff.
  • Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (Net Suite strongly preferred).
  • Strong experience with balance sheet reconciliations, flux analysis, and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience supporting external audits and preparing audit documentation.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
