Position Overview
The Project Accountant will oversee job costing, support general ledger activities, and partner with project teams to ensure accurate financial tracking, reporting, and financial performance across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage job costing and project financial tracking.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability.
- Support general ledger activities and account reconciliations.
- Prepare project financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Partner with project managers to improve cost control and financial visibility.
- Assist with month-end close activities and audit support.
- Ensure financial data is accurate, timely, and compliant with company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a construction or project-based environment.
- Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, and general ledger processes.
- Experience with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
