Senior Staff Accountant

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established international manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join its Accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual will play a key role in managing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, compliance, and process improvement initiatives.

This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working with cross-functional teams in both the U.S. and internationally.

Hands-on SAP accounting experience is a mandatory requirement for this position. Applications from candidates without recent SAP accounting experience will not be considered

• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Handle intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Coordinate banking activities, including ACH and wire transfers.
• Manage corporate travel and expense reporting.
• Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Collaborate with headquarters and internal stakeholders to support business operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Staff Accountant.
• Previous accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Hands-on SAP accounting experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with month-end close, general ledger, account reconciliations, fixed assets, sales and use tax, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
