Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our client is a private equity-backed company with approximately $25 million in revenue and 72 employees operating across three entities, including a recent acquisition in Greensboro, NC. The company is actively pursuing additional acquisitions with a long-term goal of growing to $100 million-$150 million in revenue
.

This is a highly visible,
100% accounting-focused Accounting Manager role reporting directly to the CFO. The position will oversee the day-to-day accounting function, manage two direct reports, and play a key role in consolidating and integrating multiple entities.

The immediate priorities are to close the July books, consolidate job costing across all three companies, and ensure the accounting function is accurate, consistent, and audit-ready
. The new Accounting Manager will initially work with the current/former Accounting Manager to learn the business and existing processes, then take ownership and identify opportunities to improve them.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to help build the accounting function and grow into a Controller role as the company continues its acquisition strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the month-end close and financial reporting process across multiple entities.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and consolidated reporting.
  • Consolidate and oversee job costing, WIP, and profitability reporting across the three companies.

audit-ready books and work with external CPA/audit partners.
  • Manage intercompany accounting and multi-entity reconciliations.
  • Partner with the CFO on accounting, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Support the accounting integration of future acquisitions
, including chart-of-accounts mapping, Quick Books setup/migration, and opening balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Establish and improve accounting processes, controls, and procedures as the company grows.
  • Lead, develop, and provide direction to the AP and AR team.

Manufacturing costing, job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition experience is a plus, but not required. The company is willing to train the right candidate.

What They’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong multi-entity accounting and month-end close experience.
  • Experience with audits or maintaining audit-ready books
    .
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Quick Books Desktop experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work closely with the CFO and take ownership of the accounting function.
  • M&A, acquisition integration, private equity, job costing, WIP, or manufacturing accounting experience is a plus, but not required.
