Sr IT Business Analyst Job Summary

Talent Software Services is in search of a Sr IT Business Analyst for a contract position in Duluth, GA. The opportunity will be seven months with a strong chance for a long‑term extension.

Business Analyst (BA) needs to bridge the gap between IT and business stakeholders by analyzing data, business processes, and systems to recommend solutions for improved efficiency and profitability. Key responsibilities include gathering requirements, documenting processes, and supporting project implementation. They require strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

• Engages with business leaders to understand how strategies and data‑driven changes can improve efficiencies and add value.
• Work with business requirements and business data to define use cases to improve products, processes, and/or services.
• Collaborates with Business Relationship Manager (BRM), business stakeholders and IT Product Owners / Managers to develop and document business requirements for product or system changes.
• Drives business agenda during solution delivery process.
• Analyzes data and trends to develop recommendations to solve business problems.
• Problem Solving, Detail Oriented, Cross‑Functional Collaboration, Customer Service, Process Improvement, Communication, Documentation skills.
• Collaborates with cross‑functional teams and provides leadership/guidance to ensure successful business requirement delivery, drives progress, identifies and manages risks.
• Acts as a liaison with key vendors' project teams, internal SMEs, and other project stakeholders.
• Adapts to changes and manages uncertainty.
• Consistently and accurately creates, collects, organizes, and catalogs business processes/flow documentation.
• Acquisition of ACD, IVR, CTI, Cloud Telephony knowledge.
• Understanding systems, software and technological concepts; familiarity with data analysis tools and data modeling methodologies.
• Acts as a mentor or directs the work of other lower‑level professionals; delivers, documents, and oversees projects from design to implementation.
• Works independently under limited supervision to determine, develop and document approach to solutions.
• Provides guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area; may manage projects requiring delegation of work and review of others' work product.
• Requires advanced knowledge of the job area, 4+ years of experience, high school diploma or equivalent or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Works with stakeholders to identify and document business needs and functional requirements.
• Analyzes large datasets, market trends, and financial reports using SQL, Excel, and visualization tools to provide actionable insights.
• Evaluates current operational procedures and systems to identify areas for optimization.
• Assesses the feasibility and impact of proposed solutions, such as new software or workflow changes.
• Acts as a bridge between technical teams (IT) and business units to ensure project goals are met.
• Assists in project management, planning, and monitoring to ensure timely delivery.

• Years of Experience
  
  Required:
  
  3–5 years at least.
• Excellent documentation skills & communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong experience in business process design & discovery.
• Documented experience in performing the role, not managing BAs.
