Job Description

As the Portfolio Manager, you will improve the company’s risk position through active account management. This position will develop and maintain customer (manufacturer, vendor, distributor, dealer, and end user) relationships that will ensure profitable growth through a quality portfolio within an assigned geographical territory.

• Maintain positive relationships with manufacturers, vendors, distributors, dealers, and end users through regular interaction and site visits
• Management of past due accounts which require assistance from the field for problem resolution (these activities will be coordinated with the collections staff)
• Protect company assets through prompt actions regarding retail and wholesale collection
• Develop and implement action plans to limit delinquency and risk costs
• Meet with customers to resolve past due accounts
• Draw up final notice and consequences
• Define payment plans for debtors
• Continue collection in case of litigation or bankruptcy
• Coordinate and/or conduct repossessions with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations
• Work with dealers to develop repayment terms on recourse obligations
• Conduct and/or coordinate field audits per policy
• Proper handling of off-lot units
• Collection of proceeds on sold units
• Travel intensive:
  North/South Dakota, Minnesota

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• At least 2 years of experience in the field of collections management
• Business economics knowledge (products, insolvency, bankruptcy)
• Experience and knowledge in the leasing and finance sector
• Negotiating skills
• Operates and thinks within procedures and precedents
• Must have the ability to lift 10 lbs, sit and work at a computer for extensive periods of time, communicate both orally and in writing.
• Must demonstrate a high degree of attention and quality, detail, correctness and meet deadlines.
• A motor vehicle driving record that would allow for the operation of a company vehicle
• Ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines
• Weekly regional travel required
