The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), established in 1969, is a premier institution dedicated to advancing the field of aviation maintenance through exceptional education and training. With 15 campuses nationwide, AIM is a cornerstone in the aviation industry, accounting for 20% of all students attending FAA‑certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) schools across the country. Each year, AIM proudly contributes to the graduation of nearly one in four certified aircraft technicians in America.

Location

📍 2025 Satellite Pointe, Duluth, GA 30096

Schedule
  • Monday – Thursday: 9 am‑6 pm
  • Friday: 8:30 am – 5 pm
  • Saturdays as needed to support student events from 9 am‑3 pm (would get an alternative weekday off)
Compensation

Up to $24 per hour

About the Role

The Career Success Coordinator helps students successfully transition from enrollment to graduation and into meaningful employment. This position supports students throughout the full student lifecycle by proactively driving certification completion, career readiness, and placement preparation.

Key Responsibilities Performance & Accountability
  • Actively manage a student caseload and meet defined performance metrics, which may include:
    • Retention and persistence
    • Certification readiness and attainment
    • Graduation progression
    • Career readiness and placement-related leading indicators
    • Contribute to a performance‑driven culture focused on measurable student outcomes
Student Engagement & Advocacy
  • Serve as a consistent point of contact and career readiness advocate for assigned students, building trust, rapport, and accountability
  • Proactively identify and address barriers to certification readiness and job placement
Certification Support
  • Partner with the education team and student success coordinators to monitor certification readiness and drive certification outcomes
Career Readiness & Placement Preparation
  • Introduce career readiness concepts early in the student journey, including resume development, professional behavior, and labor market awareness
  • Support students and graduates with career planning, job search strategies, and interview preparation
  • Coordinate with employer engagement and career services partners to prepare students for successful entry into the placement window
  • Assist with job applications, documentation, and placement‑related follow‑up as assigned
Data, Documentation & Compliance
  • Accurately document all student interactions, engagement activities, outcomes, and supporting materials
  • Participate in cohort tracking, G&E chart confirmation, and required audits, including weekly and monthly reporting tied to student success metrics
  • Support, participate in and/or facilitate workshops, application stations, commencement, alumni events, career fairs, and certification readiness activities
Other Duties
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor, including onboarding and ongoing training related to student success systems, performance metrics, and operational processes
Qualifications Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
Experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in student services, career services, advising, workforce development, recruiting, or a related support role
  • 1 year of related experience in a proprietary (for profit) post‑secondary educational setting preferred
Skills
  • Strong problem‑solving, organizational, written and verbal communication skills with a student‑centered approach
  • Comfortable working in a metrics‑driven environment with shared accountability
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn new systems
  • A positive, team‑oriented approach and willingness to work outside regular business hours and travel locally or overnight as needed
