Job Description

Our motto at Taylor Robinson Music is "Learn to Play From the Heart," and we are looking for private music instructors who share this philosophy. We aim to make music lessons as accessible and affordable as possible because we believe music education is essential to making the world a better, happier place.

We are hiring private music instructors, especially for Voice. We do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio in the Duluth, GA area, but we have students needing teachers ASAP. Lessons can take place in the students’ homes, in your own home or studio, or via webcam (the latter makes up only a small percentage of our student base). Most of our students prefer in‑person lessons, so we need local instructors who can host students or who are willing to travel within the Duluth area.

Responsibilities
  • Teach private music lessons (primarily voice) to students at their homes, in your studio, or via webcam.
  • Set your own schedule and design your own curriculum and lesson plans.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with our office.
  • Arrive on time and be organized for all scheduled lessons.
  • Travel to student locations within the Duluth, GA area when required.
  • Follow COVID‑19 precautions: wear a mask, sanitize hands, and practice social distancing when applicable.
  • Maintain a high student retention rate.
Qualifications
  • Formal music training is not mandatory.
  • Must hold either a degree in music, be enrolled in a music program, have professional performing experience, or possess previous teaching experience.
  • Capable of working independently as an independent contractor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially with children, are preferred.
Compensation & Support

You will be paid on an independent contractor basis between $20–$30 per hour, dependent on travel time, your experience/education, and your student retention rate. We handle advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing for you to help lighten your load so you can focus on teaching music.

Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, or other protected status.
